This is a very unique tape machine. It was originally used as a backup unit in a recording studio. After we purchased it, it was initially placed in storage and has now undergone a no-compromise restoration by our specialist.
The previous owner visually modified the original MK II design to resemble the MK III. Additionally, a transport logic control system was installed, elevating the unit's operation to a whole new level. The balance control was bypassed to achieve the highest possible sonic fidelity. A small switch on the front panel allows the front-facing microphone inputs to be switched to line level. The two playback boards were modified without compromise to deliver the best possible playback performance. Our technician describes this as the best A 77 he has ever seen.
Our technician has done the following professional work:
- - Unit completely disassembled
