Swiss-made Lenco L 75 and L 78 idler wheel turntables are very popular and unfortunately many people modify them to death. When you consider that the devices only cost around CHF 300 new, you have to pay great respect to what you got for them back then.
From today's perspective, two weak points can be identified. Namely the original tonearm and the original wooden or plastic console with a spring base.
The many years of experience with the Thorens TD 124 are now with us in the restoration of
Lenco record players.
The drive is completely dismantled, the motor is overhauled and a line filter with shielded power cable is installed. We replace the idler wheel with an improved version. The tonearm is replaced with a Thorens TP 11 or TP 21. A hight quallity audio cable will be direct connected to the tonearm.
In addition, the turntable is polished and the drive is provided with a solid wooden console with the TD 124 rubber decoupling (mushrooms).
All of these points make the Lenco players perform in a different league.
You also have the choice of having the chassis painted in your desired color.
