The TD 160 series began a long and successful 30-year run following its introduction as successor to the TD 150 in 1972: 1972-1976, Mk II (1976-1984), Mk IV (1987-1988), Mk V (1988-90's)
Part of the table's success was due to the outstanding TP 16 Tonarm, which was incorporated into the TD 125 MK II. Offering outstanding performancve for the price, the TD 160 offered great sound in a compact plinth. The TD 160 is known for its rugged, even indestructible build quality. Careful upgrades lift it io an even higher level of performance.
We offer the following improvements on this already excellent turntable:

- shielded Swissonor AC cable with AC line filter
- New drivebelt
- critical moving parts are restored

Ask for our recommendations about tonearm and catridge combinations.
Our restoration and upgrade service is only available for models which were factory-suplied with the metal main platter. Later models used plastic platters to cut costs - these don't meet our performance criteria. Ask us about current availability.
